Art Trail endeavours to provide an opportunity for artists/visual art groups to work outside of the traditional gallery space.
ArtsFest is an annual opportunity for students, staff, and the wider community to experience international, national, and local artists on the campuses of CIT.
Cork Folk Festival is one of Ireland’s oldest festival of traditional/folk music and has taken place annually in September since 1979. The tireless voluntary committee's mission since then has been to provide an urban platform for the indigenous music, song and dance and to attract premier national and international exponents of folk and traditional music to the city.

Alongside the 26.2-mile marathon, the Team Relay makes this The Marathon for Everyone! An ideal event for charity fund-raising, runners, joggers and walkers of all levels can join in the challenge and savour the magnificent public support. A spectacular finish on St Patrick’s Street ensures a festive occasion in the city centre.

Cork Cycling Festival is a celebration of bicycle culture in Cork. At its heart is a passion to bring Cork a fun and fresh vision of the cycling experience and open new windows onto the city and county. The programme of events - themed cycles, arts events, workshops and more - is entirely free to the public, welcoming all ages and walks of life with a special focus on family-friendly events.

We screen the best in French & International Feature Films; Documentaries and Short Films and enable people to extend their experience of cinema beyond the commercial realm. We offer the opportunity to engage with film in new and exciting ways through our cutting edge series of live Audio-Visual events, Cine-Concerts, exhibitions and film installations. We nurture the next generation of Irish filmmakers with education screenings, masterclasses and workshops with top film talent.

Cork Jazz Festival has been one of Ireland’s most famous cultural events and a key jazz festival worldwide for over 30 years. The festival attracts a huge number of visitors to the city with a strong international profile while maintaining its sense of place in Cork hearts. Evolving with time, recent years have seen the expansion of the main weekend festival into the city’s streets, schools and hubs through Cork Jazz Week.
For 5 days in May the Choral Festival presents gala concerts, public performance and national and international competition as thousands of participants from across the world bring the city to life for a celebration of vocal music in all its many forms.
The Cork International Short Story Festival formerly known as the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Festival, is the longest established annual festival dedicated to the form in the English-speaking world, taking place annually in September. The Cork City - Frank O'Connor Short Story Award is the world's richest prize for the short story and is presented each year at the festival.

Celebrates learning opportunities of all kinds – formal and informal, for all ages, interests and abilities – from pre-school to post retirement. Events include taster sessions, tours, seminars, workshops, displays, performances, taking place in a variety of venues across the city – in shopping centres, parks, galleries, schools, theatres, colleges, on the water.
Cork Midsummer Festival is an annual 2 week season of local, national and international events across a range of cultural forms including theatre, off-site performance, contemporary and popular music, participatory projects, mass free events, dance, debate, ideas, visual and conceptual art and food – a real ‘festival of the senses’ for the 21st century.
Cork Pride Festival is an annual event in which we celebrate the LGBT Community within cork city and county. The week is full of entrainment for all the family including Information Evenings, cabarets, Movie Nights, Picnic's, Celli, Memorial Service and BBQ's. Finishing with the Pride Parade a colourful celebration of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Community. Open to everyone to enjoy.

The Cork Spring Literary Festival has been run by the Munster Literature Centre since 1993 previously under the title of 'Éigse.' The Cork Spring Literary Festival showcases the best in Irish and International literary talent every February, including poetry and fiction. During the festival there are workshops, competitions, literary forums and the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Prize.

Cork St. Patrick’s Festival is three fun-filled days for all the family featuring the best of Cork Artesian Foods, free Street entertainment and the Parade on March 17th.

Cork World Book Fest–a unique celebration of books and reading.
Corona Cork Film Festival is Ireland’s oldest and largest film festival, dedicated to the celebration of cinema in all it’s diversity. The Festival is particularly focused on short film, documentaries and independent cinema.
Damhsafest is the only International Folk Dance Festival in Ireland. Since 1995, our festival has hosted over 30 international folk dance groups. Each July Damhsafest showcases up to 4 international groups accompanied by local groups. Performances will be held across Cork City and County.

The Decades Festival is a weekend of fun, music and fancy dress!  Venues across Cork city host a decade of their choice for the weekend, dressing both decor and staff, encouraging everyone to get into fancy dress, turning Cork back in time.  Live music and fun events are all part of what is Cork’s most unique festival so book your weekend for a madcap, music filled, slightly time warped celebration of good times!

The Discovery Science Festival includes 10 days of interactive science fun. School workshops plus a City Hall exhibition encourage young people to explore science, engineering, technology and maths, led by top Cork researchers, educators and businesses. The Discovery Cork's Science Festival is a major partner in Science Week Ireland.

An exciting & spectacular Event, both on & off the water, the race covers a course from Crosshaven to Cork, finishing in spectacular style at Lapps Quay.
